Teaching Methods That Reflect How Adults Actually Learn
You're juggling work, family, and everything else. Our course structure respects that reality. Classes run Thursday evenings for three hours, giving you time to implement what you learned before the next session.
Between sessions, you work with your own finances. Not hypothetical scenarios. Your actual bank statements and bills. That's where learning happens.
We cap groups at twelve people. Small enough that instructors know your name and your specific situation. Large enough to learn from others who face different challenges.
What You'll Master During the Program
Each module builds on previous weeks. You start with basic tracking and finish with a complete financial management system tailored to your life.
Core Tracking Systems
Learn to capture spending accurately without drowning in receipts. You'll test different apps and methods to find what actually works for your habits.
Allocation Frameworks
Build budgets that account for real life. Not just fixed expenses and savings goals, but the chaos that happens between paychecks.
Crisis Management
Your car breaks down. Medical bills arrive. Income drops. Learn to handle financial shocks without abandoning your budget entirely.
Household Coordination
Money causes fights. Learn to have productive budget conversations with partners, roommates, or family members without tension.
I came to this program after years of trying and failing at budgets. What finally clicked was realizing my system needed to work with my ADHD brain, not against it. The instructors helped me design something that actually stuck.
Real-World Application Throughout Learning
You won't spend sixteen weeks on theory and then try to implement everything at once. Each week includes immediate application to your actual finances.
Weekly Practice Assignments
Between sessions, you apply that week's concepts to your finances. Small steps. By week eight, you have a functioning budget. By week sixteen, it's automatic.
Group Problem Solving
Every class includes time for troubleshooting. Someone's struggling with variable income? Another person figured it out last week. The group becomes your resource.
Personal Check-Ins
Instructors review your progress individually every three weeks. They catch issues before they derail your system and help you adjust your approach.
