At melquintavo, we're committed to helping Australians master their budgeting skills. We understand that sometimes things don't work out as planned. This policy outlines when and how you can request a refund for our expense budgeting programs and services.

Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible for a refund if you meet specific conditions. We've designed these criteria to be fair while protecting the integrity of our educational programs.

  • Request must be submitted within 14 days of purchase for online courses
  • Less than 25% of course content has been accessed or downloaded
  • Technical issues preventing access that our support team couldn't resolve
  • Duplicate purchase made in error
  • Program cancellation before the start date (full refund applicable)

How to Request a Refund

Submit Your Request

Send an email to contact@melquintavo.com with your order number, purchase date, and reason for the refund request. Include any relevant documentation if applicable.

Review Period

Our team will review your request within 3 business days. We may reach out for additional information if needed to process your claim.

Decision Notification

You'll receive an email with our decision. If approved, we'll provide details about the refund amount and expected processing time.

Processing

Once approved, refunds are processed within 5-7 business days. The funds will return to your original payment method.

Program Withdrawal

If you withdraw from a multi-week program after it has started, refunds are calculated on a pro-rata basis for unused weeks, minus a 15% administrative fee.

Technical Access Issues

When technical problems prevent you from accessing course materials and our support team can't fix them within 48 hours, you qualify for a full refund regardless of timeline.

Workshop Cancellations

If we cancel a scheduled workshop or event, you'll receive a full refund automatically. Alternatively, we can transfer your payment to a future session.

Bundle Purchases

For bundled course packages, refunds apply to individual courses within the bundle that meet standard eligibility criteria. Unused courses may be refunded at their standalone price.

Important: Refund requests submitted after 30 days from purchase date are not eligible for consideration, except in cases of documented technical failures or medical emergencies with supporting documentation.

Processing Times by Payment Method

The time it takes for refunded funds to appear in your account depends on your original payment method. We initiate all approved refunds within our standard timeframe, but your bank or payment provider controls the final step.

Credit Card: 5-10 business days Debit Card: 5-10 business days PayPal: 3-5 business days Bank Transfer: 7-14 business days

If you haven't received your refund within these timeframes, check with your financial institution first. Sometimes banks hold refunds for verification. Contact us if the issue persists beyond the expected window.

Non-Refundable Items

  • Downloadable resources or templates that have been accessed or downloaded
  • One-on-one coaching sessions that have been completed
  • Certification exam fees once the exam has been attempted
  • Promotional or discounted courses purchased during special sales (no refund, credit note available)
  • Gift cards or vouchers that have been redeemed
  • Third-party software or tools included with program enrollment

Partial Refunds

Sometimes a full refund isn't appropriate, but we still want to make things right. Partial refunds may be offered when you've completed part of a program or accessed some materials.

These are assessed individually based on content accessed, time elapsed, and specific circumstances. We calculate partial refunds by subtracting the value of consumed content from your total purchase price.

Special Circumstances

We recognize that life throws unexpected challenges your way. Medical emergencies, family crises, or sudden financial hardship may warrant special consideration even outside our standard policy terms.

If you're facing unusual circumstances that prevented you from completing your program, reach out to us. We review these requests individually and work to find a fair solution that acknowledges both your situation and our business sustainability.
